The greatest potential for growth in a church is the growth of its people. People are our most appreciable asset. A great church is not built in acquiring land or buildings, but in building people. Our desire at F.C.O.C. is to empower people. Empowering others is developing leaders, giving them ownership. It is allowing people to excel in their strengths and, in essence, they begin to lead others in a vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. The Bible reveals that we are empowered to be “ministers of reconciliation.” We are responsible to those yet untold, those who are unsure and to those who do not yet believe. Empowerment means we are authorized.
We are empowering our people through leadership training on a regular basis. By training believers how to lead, we prepare them to lead and then allow them to lead. Our church has enjoyed continual growth since its beginning because we continue to give ministry away. We empower others to lead. Many believers become frustrated only because they lack opportunity to be involved, making significant contributions in the lives of others. We purpose in our church ministries to give continual opportunity for you to lead, to influence others in a positive life changing encounter with Jesus Christ. Leading equals serving. The best leaders are those who serve people by encouraging and equipping them. Do you desire to be empowered? That is our goal!
