No one has ever encouraged people like Jesus. Though He came for the single purpose of giving His life for sinners, He wasn’t mad at them or angry with them. In fact, He believed in them and continually brought encouragement to them. One day when He was sharing with people the “Sermon on the Mount”, He gave encouragement after encouragement. He said, “God blesses those who realize their need for Him. God blesses those who are gentle and lowly. God blesses those who are hungry and thirsty for justice. God blesses those who are persecuted because they love God.” He encouraged people to believe on Him. He had faith not only in His Heavenly Father, He had faith in people. Whether it was the cheating tax collector named Zacchaeus, or a woman caught in adultery, or a fisherman named Peter who was a bit hot-headed and always had an opinion about everything, He loved them. He believed in them. He encouraged them. At F.C.O.C., we believe in people and we continually desire to encourage them to find their purpose through a relationship with God in Jesus Christ. We make this a priority. Because people don’t care how much you know, till they know how much you care.
Here’s what I know: Every person, both you and me, need to know we matter, that we have worth. At F.C.O.C., we see people this way. And because you have worth, we desire to encourage you. To encourage your gifting, your ability and always see the best in you. Jesus did. It’s the very reason he died for you. You cannot encourage people consistently if you are mad at them. Do you need encouragement? God wants a relationship with you! Come, get encouraged at F.C.O.C.!
